Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a wedding planner and a day-of coordinator?

A wedding planner manages the entire planning process, while a day-of coordinator handles logistics on the wedding day. I have 9 years of experience in corporate event planning and can assist with both planning and execution, but my primary focus is day-of coordination.

What is the role of a day-of coordinator?

As a day-of coordinator, I manage logistics from start to finish, ensuring vendors work cohesively and your vision is realized. I handle issues, verify your floorplan, ensure placement of decorations, and keep everything running smoothly. It’s my job to take vendors who have never met before and get them working together as a team to execute your event with precision.

If I hire you for day-of coordinating only, will I hear from you before the event?

Of course! We'll have at least two meetings to discuss your vision and details. I'll gather final vendor lists, floor plans, and more, and you can contact me anytime leading up to your event via email or text.

What do you do during the 8+ hours you’re at my event?

I manage every detail—coordinating vendors, ensuring your schedule is followed, solving issues, and ensuring everything matches your vision. While I’m at your event, I am the to go-to gal for anything and everything. Your venue and vendors will work directly with me to execute your vision, your bridal party and family can count on me to keep the days’ events running on schedule, I will put out any fires (figurative or literal) that spring up, make sure everything matches your vision, fix your dress, give you my shoes if you need them, keep your drink full if no one else will, the list goes on and on.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured as an event planner/coordinator and can provide proof of insurance to your venue upon request.

Are you a preferred vendor at any venues?

Yes! I am proud to be a preferred vendor at the following venues:
Emerald Event Center
Elyria Country Club

Do you have an emergency kit?

Yes, I am equipped with an extensive emergency kit for any last-minute needs on your wedding day. Lovingly referred to as my “Mary Poppins bag,” I come overly prepared and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every client has access to this, regardless of level of investment.

What will you wear to my event?

I dress professionally in black attire to maintain a polished appearance. If you prefer I wear a different color, all you need to is ask!

Why are your prices lower than other coordinators?

The short answer is, “Because I want them to be.” With many years of corporate event experience under my blet and minimal overhead costs, I keep prices competitive without compromising quality. My mission is to make day-of coordination services accessible.

The long answers is, I had been working in the corporate world for years and planned all of my own events. I never knew I needed an event coordinator until it came time execute my vision for my own wedding a few years back. I was disappointed that a day-of coordinator was just out of my budget. When a former colleague reached out and offered me a huge discount on services, I jumped at the invitation. It turned out to be the best decision I made in the planning process.

What made you enter private event coordinating?

I have made many connections throughout the years who ended up as full-time wedding professional, from bakers to photographers to planners and coordinators. They always asked why I didn’t offer my skillset and experience to couples seeking day-of coordinators, and why I stopped at only cupcakes. After my experience with my own wedding, I saw the light so to speak. I decided I did want to offer my services, but only if I could keep it affordable to help as many couples as possible to have a stress-free wedding day.

Do you still offer cupcakes?

Yes of course! Planning and coordinating requests dominate my inbox these days, but I still love baking, and bake often.

Do you charge for consultations?
